Where It Began
The FCN Tribe was born from a realization that while support exists, it rarely speaks the language of fathers. On July 27, 2024, at the Randburg Clinic School, a conversation sparked a movement.
The seed was planted by Dr. Nausheen Ameen (Chief Educational Specialist, GDE), who recognized a gap in the system. With the support of prominent educational leaders like Prof. Maximus Sefatho and Principal Ronald Bachelor, we formalized a space dedicated solely to men navigating the complexities of raising neurodiverse children. What started as an initiative has grown into a resilient tribe.

Breaking the Silence
For too long, the global narrative on neurodiversity has inadvertently excluded fathers, leaving many to navigate emotional and practical hurdles in isolation. From the trauma of initial diagnosis to the financial burdens and societal stigmatisation, the weight can be heavy when carried alone.
FCN exists to change that. We acknowledge that a father’s role in caregiving is essential, not secondary. We provide the tools to confront these challenges—moving from isolation to a network of shared strength and practical resources.

Re-imagining the Future
Our goal extends beyond today. We are preparing our children for sustainable adulthood. By equipping fathers with education, resources, and emotional resilience today, we are paving the way for a future where neurodiverse individuals are fully integrated, economically active, and socially accepted.
